India criticizes Khamenei’s remarks on ‘Muslim suffering’: Check your own record

On Monday, the Indian government strongly condemned remarks made by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei regarding the alleged suffering of Muslims in India. Khamenei made these comments during the celebration of Prophet Mohammed’s birth anniversary, highlighting the plight of Muslim communities globally, including those in India, Gaza, and Myanmar.

“We cannot call ourselves true Muslims if we ignore the suffering of Muslims in #Myanmar, #Gaza, #India, or elsewhere,” Khamenei posted on X.

In response, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) dismissed the remarks, calling them “misinformed and unacceptable.”
