Get ready for an action-packed, adrenaline-fueled, colorful, and joyous adventure that will light up your Diwali. The trailer for Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated Singham Again was released today, expanding the cop universe with new additions Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff. Rohit Shetty puts an intriguing twist on his good-versus-evil narrative, incorporating numerous references from the Ramayana. Ajay Devgn’s Singham is depicted as Lord Rama, Ranveer Singh takes on the role of Hanuman, and Tiger Shroff portrays Laxman.
The trailer begins with Kareena Kapoor (Avni Kamat) telling her son about how Ram fought for Sita, traveling 3,000 km to Sri Lanka for her rescue. When her son doubts whether his father would do something so heroic, Ajay Devgn humorously responds, “Google pe Bajirao Singham type kar le, pata chal jayega tera baap kaun hai” (Please type Bajirao Singham on Google. You’ll find out who your father is). The plot centers around Kareena Kapoor’s abduction by the ruthless Arjun Kapoor. Ajay Devgn is determined to save his wife from the clutches of evil forces. Joining him are a formidable team: Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh), Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone), and Tiger Shroff.
Deepika appears to embody some of the quirks of Ranveer Singh’s character, and both Deepika and Ranveer are tasked with delivering the comic relief, while Tiger Shroff showcases his action skills. The trailer also captures the essence of Maratha bravery and valor, a hallmark of Rohit Shetty’s films.
Sharing the trailer, Ranveer Singh wrote, “ISS DIWALI AAEGA MASS KA ZALZALA !!!!!!! #SinghamAgain on 1st November in a theatre near you!”
Singham premiered in 2011, featuring Ajay Devgn, Prakash Raj, and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles, while Singham Returns followed in 2014, with Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, and Amole Gupte leading the cast. Simmba, released in 2018, introduced Ranveer Singh to the cop universe, and Sooryavanshi (2021) brought Akshay Kumar into the franchise. All of these films were significant box office successes.
