LAHORE:
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the Punjab Dhi Rani Mass Wedding Program, which will provide Rs100,000 to each eligible newlywed couple through ATM transfers.

“Each couple will be allowed 20 guests, who will be served food. Additionally, furniture, household items, clothing, and other essentials will be provided,” the chief minister announced during the inauguration.

She further added, “Applications for the Punjab Dhi Rani Program for mass weddings are now open and can be submitted online at cmp.punjab.gov.pk. A dedicated helpline, 1312, has also been set up for the program.” She emphasized that “for transparency, applicants will be verified at their homes by special teams.”

In another meeting, the chief minister discussed the progress of the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar Program, which aims to provide affordable housing across the province.

“In just two months, recipients of the first installment of the loan in Lahore, Kasur, and other districts have begun construction on their homes,” she said.

She instructed authorities to ensure the timely release of the second loan installment under the program and stressed, “We are committed to ensuring that no one is deprived of their rightful loan.” A focal assistant commissioner has been assigned in each district to assist applicants.

During a briefing, CM Maryam Nawaz was informed that over 550,000 people had accessed the housing loan portal, and approximately 450,000 applications had been submitted. She stated that she would personally monitor the progress of the housing program via a dashboard and asked Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin to oversee field operations.
