US Election Live: Tight Polls as Trump and Harris Campaign in Wisconsin

Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has campaigned in the pivotal state of Wisconsin, where she faced interruptions from protesters calling for an end to Israel’s conflict in Gaza. Meanwhile, Donald Trump addressed supporters in Wisconsin alongside retired NFL star Brett Favre after beginning his day in North Carolina.

With just six days until Election Day, both candidates, along with their running mates and surrogates, have been touring various battleground states to rally support. Current polls indicate a tightly contested race, with FiveThirtyEight’s tracker showing Harris holding a slim 1.4-point lead over Trump.

Mehdi Hasan has responded to racist comments made by a CNN panelist. The prominent broadcaster and vocal critic of Israel’s actions in Gaza publicly addressed the issue for the first time after leaving a CNN discussion when a far-right panelist remarked, “I hope your beeper doesn’t go off.” In a video shared on X, Hasan warned that a Trump victory would embolden his supporters to express overt racism. He also suggested that if Harris were to lose, it would be because she “morally deserves to lose” for her unwillingness to “budge even an inch on Gaza.” Hasan described a Trump presidency as one that would promote white supremacy, anti-Black, anti-Semitic, and Islamophobic sentiments, empowering individuals like the bigot he encountered on CNN. He cautioned that these figures would influence U.S. foreign policy, encouraging Israel to carry out further attacks.

Nearly 40 individuals were killed, and thousands injured in September during a series of unprecedented attacks in Lebanon, attributed to Israel, involving exploding communication devices such as pagers and walkie-talkies.
