The nostalgia is real for 90s kids, as veteran actor Mukesh Khanna has officially announced the return of India’s first and most beloved superhero, Shaktimaan. Known for captivating audiences in the late 90s, Shaktimaan is set to make a grand comeback, stirring excitement among long-time fans.

Khanna shared the announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) profile, revealing a striking Shaktimaan poster and a teaser video that promises to rekindle the magic of the iconic superhero. In his post, he wrote: “It’s Time For HIM to RETURN. Our First Indian SUPER TEACHER- SUPER HERO. YES! As Darkness And Evil prevails over Children of Today… It’s time for him to return. He returns with a Message. He returns with a Teaching. For today’s generation. Welcome Him. With both hands!!!!!”

The teaser, already making waves on social media, offers a thrilling glimpse of Shaktimaan’s much-anticipated return. It shows the superhero soaring through the skies and landing in a school, singing a song about freedom. In a powerful scene, he stands before portraits of Indian freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Subhash Chandra Bose, igniting a sense of patriotism and encouraging today’s youth to value their heritage.

Originally airing in 1997 on Doordarshan, Shaktimaan became a cultural phenomenon, blending superhero adventures with moral lessons. Running for over 450 episodes, the show’s unique storyline and memorable characters made it a cherished series, and Mukesh Khanna’s portrayal became legendary.
