Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has urged his party leaders to mobilize as many supporters as possible for a major protest in Islamabad on November 24. The rally aims to pressure the government for his release from jail and to push for the acceptance of PTI’s other demands.
Khan has also instructed his party to reach out to allied party leaders to rally behind the protest and ensure its success.
In a recent development, former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser met with Mahmood Khan Achakzai, leader of the Constitution Protection Movement, to invite him to join the November 24 protest. However, Achakzai has declined the invitation for now.
Sources reveal that Achakzai’s decision was based on the short time frame, with only three days left before the protest. He reportedly stated, “How can we campaign effectively in such a short time? Had we been invited earlier, we might have considered it.”
Despite this, Asad Qaiser urged Achakzai to reconsider and suggested they reconvene soon to discuss further.
