The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur is set to conduct the much-anticipated MDCAT 2024 retake on December 8 (Sunday). All preparations for the test have been finalized, with three centres established in Karachi and additional centres in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah to ensure smooth operations.
This comes after the Sindh High Court (SHC) annulled the initial MDCAT 2024 results on October 26, ordering a retake within a month. The court found that the entire test system had been compromised, citing findings from an investigative committee.
The SHC’s ruling came after consultations with representatives from the Sindh government, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and Dow University, all agreeing on the need for a fresh test.
Previously, Dow University announced that 22,366 candidates from across Sindh had passed the MDCAT, with a pass rate of 58.79%. However, the retake now promises to address the flaws identified in the earlier exam.
