Diljit Dosanjh, currently on his Dil-Luminati India Tour, performed in Ahmedabad on November 17, captivating his fans despite a surprising fall on stage.
The singer, who had already performed in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Hyderabad, slipped while singing his popular track Patiala Peg. A video capturing the moment quickly went viral, showing Diljit recovering swiftly and continuing his performance with his trademark energy.
While moving energetically across the stage, Diljit lost his balance and fell. He immediately got back up, addressed the audience and organizers in Hindi, saying, “The fire you launch here, don’t do that. Oil gets spilled on the stage.” Giving a reassuring thumbs-up, he added, “I’m okay,” before continuing the song.
Fans on social media quickly linked this incident to a similar fall Diljit had during a 2013 performance with Yo Yo Honey Singh. Many fans considered it a “good omen,” recalling his rapid rise in both music and film after that earlier fall. “Jab bhi gira hai… doguna fame mila hai bande ko (Whenever he has fallen, he has gained double the fame),” one fan commented.
Diljit’s Dil-Luminati India Tour will continue with shows in Pune on November 24, Kolkata on November 30, and will conclude in Guwahati on December 29. Fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next for the resilient star.
