Despite boasting over 5.6 million Instagram followers, Ajaz Khan, the Azad Samaj Party candidate, has only secured 103 votes so far, according to the Election Commission’s website.
Khan’s social media popularity didn’t translate into votes, with Haroon Khan of Shiv Sena UBT leading in the Versova seat with 46,619 votes. The Shiv Sena UBT candidate received 58,047 votes, while the NOTA (None of the Above) option garnered 1,022 votes—over six times more than Khan’s total.
The voter turnout in the constituency was 42.2%.
Khan, who participated in Bigg Boss Season 8, was expelled from the show for attempting to strangle fellow contestant Ali Quli Mirza.
The election results have sparked reactions from netizens, with one user commenting, “When you realize 16-year-olds can’t vote in state elections like they can in Bigg Boss evictions.” Another joked, “NOTA got more votes than Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan.”
