Punjab University delays exams by one week

A notification has been issued by the Punjab University authorities, announcing that the on-campus mid-term exams originally scheduled to start on November 25 have been postponed for one week.

Despite the exam delay, regular university classes will continue without interruption. According to the notification, Heads of Departments (HoDs) will continue conducting lectures either online, in-person, or using a hybrid format.

Last week, the university also postponed its scheduled exams for one week and shifted classes online due to the severe smog affecting the province. Staff were instructed to work from home, with all meetings held online during that period.

Meanwhile, in light of the ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, all educational institutions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will remain closed tomorrow.

The Islamabad Private Schools Association cited the current situation as the reason behind the closure decision, with the district administration of Islamabad expected to issue a formal notification soon. This directive will apply to all schools and colleges in the federal capital to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the protests.
