Reports indicate that PlayStation will hold an event on December 3, following a teaser with the numbers ’03 12′ and ’20:24′ in a new advertisement.
Many GTA 6 fans are speculating that Sony might unveil a new trailer for the highly anticipated game, as the company is believed to have secured the marketing rights for the title. This rumor first surfaced on the GTA 6 Subreddit, where one user commented, “I’ll believe Rockstar Games will reveal an updated version of GTA 6 on the PS6 in about 4-5 years, rather than showing the second trailer at this event.”
Another user echoed the sentiment, suggesting that the Sony PlayStation event might feature some updates for GTA fans. “That’s a very reasonable speculation. I remember at the 2020 PS5 event when they showed the next-gen GTA 5 trailer. The CEO said something like ‘we are pleased to continue our partnership with Rockstar into this generation,’” the user wrote.
This new rumor comes after GTA 6 fans were disappointed when the popular “moon theory” was debunked. Fans had hoped for the release of the second trailer on November 22, based on hints from an image in GTA Online.
It’s worth noting that the first and only official trailer for the game was released on December 4, 2023. Earlier this year, Take-Two Interactive confirmed that the game is set for a Fall 2025 release. Despite fan concerns about potential delays, Take-Two has reassured the public that the release is on schedule for 2025, adding that other exciting titles like Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country are also expected in Fiscal 2026.
“We expect to create long-term value for our shareholders, with many exciting new titles coming in Fiscal 2026, including GTA 6 in the Fall,” the company said in a statement following its recent earnings call.
