Internet services, suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi for the past two days on the Interior Ministry’s orders due to protests, have now been partially restored. However, users are reporting issues with social media app functionality.
Authorities have also begun removing containers from roads across the twin cities, signaling a return to normalcy following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest. D-Chowk and nearby areas have been cleared as PTI announced the conclusion of its protest.

In Rawalpindi, containers are being cleared from the Faizabad Flyover and Murree Road, with the Faizabad Interchange reopening after a five-day closure.
Additionally, the Motorway network is now fully operational after days of closures. The M1 Motorway (Islamabad to Lahore), M2 (Sialkot to Lahore), M3, M4, and M5 Motorways, along with the Multan to Sukkur Motorway, have reopened for traffic.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the area between D-Chowk and Khyber Plaza, commending law enforcement personnel for their courage and dedication during the unrest.
