Set to premiere on December 26, the upcoming season of Squid Game will follow Seong Gi-hun as he attempts to put an end to the brutal survival game.
The season 2 trailer shows Gi-hun being questioned about why he returned to the game after his victory in season 1. Lee Jung-jae’s character responds, saying, “I’m trying to end this game.”
The trailer also features Gi-hun attempting to guide the other 455 participants through the deadly Red Light, Green Light round.
Along with Lee Jung-jae, returning cast members include Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho and Lee Byung-hun as the enigmatic Front Man.

Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who also serves as director and executive producer, Squid Game season 1 premiered in 2021 and quickly became Netflix’s most-watched show.
With over 2.2 billion hours viewed, equivalent to about 265 million views, it tops Netflix’s all-time TV charts.
It’s worth noting that Squid Game season 1 earned 17 Emmy nominations, winning six, including Best Actor in a Drama for Lee Jung-jae’s portrayal of Seong Gi-hun and Best Guest Actress in a Drama for Lee You-mi.
The series centers on financially struggling individuals who opt to compete in deadly games for a life-changing prize, uncovering the dark sides of human desperation and resilience as they fight for survival.
