ISLAMABAD (APP) – Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain announced on Tuesday that all Hajj applications submitted by December 3, 2024, have been approved, offering significant relief to applicants.
The minister confirmed that all pilgrims who applied between November 18 and December 3 under the regular Hajj scheme have been declared successful. Likewise, applicants under the sponsorship scheme have also been approved without the need for a draw.
Recognizing the difficulties faced by residents of remote areas in submitting their applications, the minister announced a seven-day extension for the Hajj application deadline. Applicants under the Government Hajj Scheme can now submit their forms at designated banks until December 10, 2024.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain further clarified that if the number of applications exceeds the allocated quota, a ballot will be held to ensure fairness. Overseas Pakistanis must deposit their sponsorship funds by December 10 to confirm their participation.
To make the process more efficient, the Ministry has launched an online portal on its official website, allowing applicants to submit their Hajj forms remotely. Additionally, pilgrims are encouraged to download the ‘Pak Hajj’ mobile app for the latest updates and guidance.
This initiative aims to simplify the application process and provide greater convenience for prospective pilgrims.
