LAHORE: Lahore is soon to debut its first-ever floating restaurant, a project unveiled by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), as reported by ARY News.
This innovative venture will provide Pakistan with its first floating restaurant, offering an unparalleled dining experience.
The floating restaurant will be built near Harbanspura, along the canal, with an estimated budget of Rs 350 million. The project will include seating areas, children’s play zones, and other recreational amenities.
PHA revealed that three companies have already been shortlisted for the project, which is expected to be completed shortly.
In another development, Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar announced the launch of “Pink Buses” specifically designed for women in Lahore.

Speaking in the Punjab Assembly, the transport minister stated that the Pink buses will operate on 16 routes across Lahore, with one or two buses assigned per route.
A total of 300 buses will be deployed to enhance transportation options for women. Additionally, the minister revealed plans to establish the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in other cities, such as Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Multan.
“Lahore has already received significant investment, and now it is time to focus on other cities,” he said. He also mentioned that 5,000 to 6,000 buses will be allocated to each divisional headquarters.
