Girls linked to robbery that claimed lives of two teenagers in Karachi

KARACHI: Shocking details have emerged regarding a police encounter in Orangi Town’s Pirabad area, where two alleged dacoits were killed, ARY News reported.

On December 3, Karachi police reported the deaths of two dacoits, Bilawal and Naqqash, during a robbery at the house of Mubarak Shah in Orangi Town. However, the families of the deceased claimed the boys were innocent and accused the police of staging a fake encounter.

An investigation revealed that the robbery was orchestrated by three girls, including Mubarak Shah’s niece, his children’s home tutor, and her sister. According to the inquiry, Sabira, Shah’s niece, collaborated with Munnaza, the home tutor, and Munnaza’s sister Laiba to plan the heist.

The report disclosed that Laiba convinced her boyfriend Bilawal to carry out the robbery. Disguised in burqas, Bilawal and his friend Naqqash entered the house. However, a nearby shopkeeper became suspicious due to their unusual footwear and alerted the house owner and the police, leading to a confrontation that ended in the deaths of the two boys.

The inquiry raised significant concerns about the police narrative, identifying inconsistencies and gaps in evidence. While the police claimed 19 shots were fired—16 by officers and three by the suspects—there was no evidence to corroborate this in the confined space. Furthermore, police alleged that a girl was held hostage on the roof, but video footage disproved this claim.

The investigation also revealed a deeper connection between the accused, with Bilawal reportedly in a three-year relationship with Laiba and struggling financially.
