Pakistan’s IT exports saw a decline in November 2024, breaking a 13-month streak of continuous growth.
In November, IT exports fell by $6 million, a 2% decrease compared to October. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, IT exports totaled $324 million in October but dropped to $318 million in November. Despite this decline, the sector still saw a 25% year-on-year increase, highlighting strong annual growth.
For the first five months of the current fiscal year, Pakistan’s IT exports reached $1.53 billion, up from $1.15 billion during the same period last year.
Experts in the industry stress the importance of addressing the challenges that are hindering export growth to maintain the positive momentum experienced over the past year.
