DIJKOT:
Robbers killed one man and injured another during a robbery within the jurisdiction of Roshan Police Station. The City Police Officer (CPO) took immediate notice of the incident, requesting a detailed report from SP Iqbal Town and forming special teams to apprehend the suspects. The police handed over the deceased’s body to his family after the postmortem and registered a case.
According to a police spokesperson, 50-year-old Sarwar, a resident of Naya Moana, was walking home with his 29-year-old son, Usman, after selling cattle at Naya Moana Mandi. As they reached Medina Paradise, three robbers on a motorcycle snatched Rs140,000 from them. When Sarwar tried to resist, the robbers shot both him and Usman, leaving them injured. Sarwar succumbed to his injuries at the scene while being transported to the hospital.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police officers, including SSP Investigation Rana Abdul Wahab, SP Iqbal Town Abid Hussain Zafar, and DSP Factory Area Rana Atta-ur-Rehman, arrived at the location.
Police gathered evidence from the scene and, after the postmortem, returned the body to the family. Usman, the injured son, is reported to be in stable condition.
