The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expelled singer Salman Ahmad from the party over allegations of divisive behavior and controversial social media posts, particularly those targeting the family of party founder Imran Khan.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar issued a formal notification confirming Salman Ahmad’s expulsion, stating that he is no longer a member of the party. The decision was made during a core committee meeting.
The notification outlined that Ahmad’s actions, including creating factions within the party and making provocative posts online, contributed to the decision. “He was making unnecessary posts and engaging in provocative behavior on social media,” it stated.
In addition to his expulsion, Barrister Gohar instructed that Salman Ahmad should not represent or claim any association with PTI in the future.
