State of Pakistan’s Labor Class
These incidents highlight the challenging conditions faced by Pakistan’s labor force. Despite Labor Day, observed globally on May 1 to honor workers’ rights, many factory workers, carpenters, miners, and daily wage earners continue to face harsh realities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, urged the wealthy, businessmen, and industrialists to take steps to improve workers’ conditions and ensure their safety.
