Two kidnappers killed in Karachi operation, abductee rescued

Karachi police fatally shot two kidnappers in an exchange of gunfire in the Defense Phase 7 area, ARY News reported.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Asad Raza, confirmed that the suspects had abducted a citizen who was rescued unharmed during the operation. Police also seized a vehicle, weapons, and other items from the kidnappers.

Past Incidents of Kidnapping in Sindh

In June, Sindh police arrested five suspects linked to a kidnapping case and rescued an abducted woman near the Naudero bypass in Larkana. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana stated that the woman had been kidnapped days earlier, with the operation initiated after her maternal uncle filed a case.

In January, Karachi police arrested four suspected kidnappers in Keamari, recovering two abducted girls. The recovery report was submitted to the Sindh High Court, which expressed satisfaction with the successful operation and directed legal action against the perpetrators.

The police’s swift actions highlight their commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and motives behind these incidents.
