OnePlus has introduced its latest smartphone series in China, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, featuring upgrades in battery capacity and processing power. The company skipped the number 4 in its naming convention due to cultural preferences in China.
The flagship OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and comes equipped with a 6,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 100W fast charging. It boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780×1264 and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
Designed with mobile gamers in mind, the Pro model includes advanced features such as a “double ice core VC” cooling system and a dedicated gaming chip, delivering stable 120 FPS at 1080p. OnePlus has also partnered with Genshin Impact to enhance the gaming experience.
The camera system comprises a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. AI-powered tools are included to remove unwanted objects from images and reduce glare.
The standard OnePlus Ace 5 shares many features but is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It offers a larger 6,415 mAh battery with slightly slower 80W charging. Both models run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15.
Pricing for the Ace 5 Pro starts at CNY3,399 ($465) for the base 12GB/256GB version, while the Ace 5 begins at CNY2,299 ($315). Both models provide configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, with premium ceramic editions available.
The Ace 5 is currently on sale through Oppo’s online store in China, while the Ace 5 Pro will be available starting December 31. International release details are yet to be announced.
