Daughters Allegedly Set Father on Fire in Gujranwala
In a shocking incident in Gujranwala’s Mughal Chowk area of Civil Lines, a man was reportedly tied to a bed and set on fire by his daughters.
The victim, Ali Akbar, who had been married three times and fathered 12 children, was living with his two surviving wives in a rented house after his first wife’s passing.
According to a police complaint filed by Akbar’s sister, his daughters allegedly restrained him on a bed before setting him ablaze. The motive for the attack is under investigation.
“The victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital,” police confirmed.
Authorities have taken the two daughters into custody and are examining all aspects of the case. During the investigation, one of the suspects claimed that their father had sexually abused both of them.
