Rival Firing in Gujrat Results in Two Deaths
GUJRAT – Two people, including a woman, were killed in a shooting incident between two groups over a trivial matter at Sabur Chowk on Wednesday, according to Dunya News.
Police arrived at the scene and began investigating while sending the bodies to the hospital for examination.
Initial reports from the police suggest that the double murder stemmed from ongoing enmity between the groups.
A manhunt was initiated for the suspects who fled the scene, with Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar taking immediate notice of the violent incident.
He instructed the Gujranwala RPO to submit a detailed report on the matter.
Gujrat DPO assured that the fleeing criminals would be apprehended soon using all available resources, and they would be brought to justice without delay.
