LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) conducted a detailed media walk-through of the ongoing transformation of Gaddafi Stadium, unveiling extensive upgrades for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to take place in February/March.
The stadium’s new pavilion will offer five-star facilities for players, match officials, commercial partners, and dignitaries, aligning with the ICC’s highest standards for the global event.
As part of the redesign, spectator enclosures will be moved 20 feet closer to the field, creating a more immersive viewing experience. Upgrades include new imported seats, high-resolution replay screens, and other enhancements to deliver a premium match-day atmosphere for cricket fans.
In line with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s vision, advanced floodlight towers, screens, and chairs from Gaddafi Stadium will be repurposed for other venues, improving cricket infrastructure nationwide. Additionally, the floodlight towers will be equipped with modern LED lights to enhance live broadcast quality and provide a brighter, more vivid experience for global audiences.
