PIA achieves another milestone as inaugural flight lands at the new Gwadar International Airport

GWADAR – Following the resumption of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Europe flight operations after a four-year regulatory ban, a PIA flight made history by being the first to land at the newly-constructed Gwadar International Airport.

Flight PK-503 departed from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 9:50 a.m. and arrived in Gwadar at 11:15 a.m., according to the flight schedule.

The inaugural flight was greeted with a water-cannon salute upon its arrival.

Reports indicate that high-ranking aviation officials were also onboard, alongside regular passengers.

Aviation Minister Khawaja Asif and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti were present at the airport to welcome the passengers during the inauguration ceremony.
