LAHORE – In a significant relief for Islamabad domicile holders, the Punjab government has increased their quota in the province’s government medical and dental colleges.
The number of seats has been raised from 3 to 30—26 for the MBBS program and 4 for BDS. A University of Health Sciences (UHS) spokesperson confirmed that the deadline for Islamabad-based applicants to apply for MBBS admissions has been extended by two days due to this change.
Candidates can now submit their applications until 5 PM on January 17. Those who have already applied can also modify their applications within this extended period. This extension applies exclusively to applicants with Islamabad domiciles.
For candidates with Punjab domiciles, the application deadline remains unchanged, with submissions due by January 15. The UHS spokesperson further noted that 12,967 candidates have already submitted their online applications for MBBS admissions.
The admission process, managed by UHS, began on January 6. Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications promptly to avoid any inconvenience.
