If you’re a Pakistani citizen planning to visit New Zealand for tourism or short-term studies, you will need to obtain a visitor visa, as entry without it is not allowed.
Types of Visit Visas
- Multiple-entry visa: Stay up to six months.
- Single-entry visa: Stay up to nine months.
- Note: You are not permitted
- to work but can study for up to three months.
Required Documents for a New Zealand Visit Visa
1. Identity Proof:
- One photo for online applications or two photos for paper applications.
- Passport or certificate of identity.
- Online applicants must upload a passport copy and may be asked to submit the original later.
- Paper applications require the original passport or a certified copy (original passports may expedite processing).
2. Health Certificate:
- Medical certificate to confirm good health.
3. Police Character Certificate:
- Required to verify a clean legal record.
4. Return Ticket:
- Proof of a booked return flight.
5. Accommodation Proof:
- Prepaid hotel bookings or other confirmed accommodation.
Financial Proof – Minimum Bank Statement Requirements
You must demonstrate sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay:
- NZD $1,000 per month if accommodation is unpaid.
- NZD $400 per month if accommodation is prepaid.
Documents to prove financial capability include:
- Proof of prepaid accommodation (vouchers or receipts).
- Bank statements or credit card statements.
- Bank drafts or traveler’s cheques.
Authorities may also request proof of the source of your funds.
For a three-month stay without prepaid accommodation, you need NZD $3,000 in your account.
Currency Conversion:
As of January 22, 2025, the New Zealand dollar (NZD) is equivalent to PKR 157.
- Required funds: PKR 473,888 (NZD $3,000).
Health Declaration
Applicants must confirm in their visa application that they will bear any healthcare or medical costs incurred in New Zealand.

According to New Zealand immigration, 80% of visa applications are processed within four weeks.
