Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt received a unique punishment on Friday after it was revealed that he had kept an illegal lion cub in his home.
In his ruling, the judicial magistrate ordered Butt to perform one year of community service. Additionally, he was instructed to create a video on animal rights for his YouTube platform.
According to the verdict issued by Magistrate Hamidul Rehman Nasir, Butt must record a five-minute vlog every month from February 2025 to January 2026, focusing on animal rights.
The magistrate noted that Butt admitted to his wrongdoing and expressed genuine remorse, voluntarily requesting community service as a corrective measure.
The lion cub had been gifted to Butt by a friend during his marriage.
