ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cold and dry weather to persist across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, with extremely cold conditions expected in hilly areas during morning and night hours.
As per the PMD, the current synoptic conditions suggest that continental air is dominating the region, driving the ongoing weather pattern.
In the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed nationwide, while hilly regions experienced severe cold conditions.
Leh recorded the lowest temperature on Friday, dropping to -12 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest location in the country.
