Security forces eliminated 30 terrorists during three separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on January 24 and 25.
Acting on intelligence reports, the operations targeted terrorist hideouts in Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Khyber districts, dealing substantial blows to terrorist networks.
In Lakki Marwat, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) led to the death of 18 terrorists and injuries to six others during an intense encounter. Similarly, in Karak, eight terrorists were killed following a fierce exchange of fire, significantly disrupting their activities in the region.
In the third operation conducted in the Bagh area of Khyber district, security forces neutralized four terrorists, including two high-profile leaders, Azizur Rehman (alias Qari Ismail) and Mukhlis, while injuring two others.
A large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants, who were reportedly involved in attacks on security forces and the killing of civilians.
Subsequent sanitization operations were launched in the targeted areas to ensure no remaining threats. The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating terrorism and safeguarding civilians across Pakistan.
