West Indies set a target of 254 runs for Pakistan in the 2nd Test in Multan

The West Indies have set Pakistan a challenging target of 254 runs to win the second Test in Multan after being bowled out for 244 in their second innings.

Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were the standout bowlers, each claiming four wickets to restrict the West Indies’ progress.

Pakistan, who scored 154 in their first innings, now trail by 253 runs with just over a day remaining. The West Indies’ tail-end resistance came from Jomel Warrican, who contributed 18 runs before being dismissed by Sajid Khan. His dismissal marked the end of the West Indies’ innings at 244/10 after 66.1 overs.

The Pakistani bowlers, led by Sajid Khan (4/76) and Noman Ali (4/80), kept up the pressure on the visitors, with the final breakthrough coming when Warrican was caught by Babar Azam.

With 254 runs to chase, Pakistan’s batsmen will need to perform under pressure to secure a series-levelling victory on Day 3 of the Test match.
