To ensure transparency, a computerized balloting system will be used to select beneficiaries. Verification will be based on reference numbers and CNICs linked to monthly electricity bills. A dedicated helpline will also assist consumers with the registration and installation process.
Authorities have emphasized that the solar panels and inverters will be registered under the beneficiaries’ CNICs to prevent theft. This initiative is expected to reduce the federal government’s subsidy burden while promoting renewable energy adoption in Punjab.
