South Africa secure Champions Trophy semi-final berth as England collapse for 179

Wiaan Mulder (3-25) and Marco Jansen (3-39) spearheaded South Africa’s bowling attack, bundling out England for 179 in the 11th match of the Champions Trophy at Karachi Stadium on Saturday.

Opting to bat first, England suffered an early collapse, with Phil Salt’s dismissal triggering a rapid downfall.

Joe Root (37), Jofra Archer (25), Ben Duckett (24), and Jos Buttler (21) provided some resistance, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled.

Phil Salt (8), Jamie Smith (0), Harry Brook (19), Liam Livingstone (9), and Jamie Overton (11) failed to make a significant impact.

For South Africa, Mulder and Jansen claimed three wickets each, while Keshav Maharaj (2-35) picked up two scalps.

Lungi Ngidi (1-33) and Kagiso Rabada (1-42) also contributed with a wicket apiece.
