Bulls Dominate PSX with KSE-100 Index Surging Over 4,400 Points

KSE-100 Index Soars by 4,411 Points, Closing at 113,924

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a remarkable surge on Monday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index climbed 4,411 points, or 3.87 percent, closing at 113,924 points.

This nearly 4,500-point jump marks the second-highest single-day gain in PSX history, just behind the record 4,695-point increase on November 27, 2024. Notably, nine of the top ten largest single-day gains have occurred in 2024, with four of the top five recorded in the past 30 days.

Trading volume for the day reached 806,701,244 shares, up from 740,044,257 shares in the previous session. The total value of traded shares stood at Rs. 48.23 billion, compared to Rs. 38.89 billion on the last trading day.

A total of 463 companies traded their shares on the stock market, with 361 posting gains, 62 registering losses, and 40 remaining unchanged.
