Dubai South, one of Dubai’s largest urban developments, has teamed up with Bahria Town (BT) Holding LLC to create a new master-planned community in the Golf District, close to Al Maktoum International Airport. This project aims to cater to the growing demand for premium residential and commercial spaces, offering luxury living in the region.
The partnership was formalized by His Excellency Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, and Ahmed Ali Riaz Malik, Group CEO of BT Holding LLC. Other key figures at the signing included Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, and Malik Riaz Hussain, Founder and Chairman of Bahria Town.
The new community will feature a combination of villas, townhouses, and apartments, designed to create a self-sustaining neighborhood. Planned amenities include schools, healthcare facilities, retail outlets, mosques, and entertainment venues. The community will also boast green spaces, water streams, a central park, dancing fountains, iconic monuments, and wide boulevards, contributing to a serene and luxurious environment.
His Excellency Khalifa Al Zaffin highlighted the strategic importance of the project, emphasizing Dubai South’s role in attracting global investors and supporting the government’s vision of housing one million residents once Al Maktoum International Airport is complete.
Malik Riaz Hussain underscored Bahria Town’s expertise in large-scale community developments and expressed the company’s excitement about expanding into Dubai. With vast experience in Pakistan, Bahria Town aims to replicate its success in Dubai by creating a holistic, self-sustaining community.
BT Holding LLC, a UAE-based subsidiary of Bahria Town, plans to develop a mixed-use community covering over 20 million square feet. Sales for off-plan units are set to begin in January 2025.
Bahria Town’s parent company has already developed more than 285 square kilometers of land across Pakistan and is working on several major projects, including a flagship township in Karachi, which will eventually house up to 5 million residents. The company’s move into Dubai reflects the region’s growing appeal, with other developers such as Aldar and Azizi also increasing their presence.
Dubai South, a 145-square-kilometre master-planned city, is positioned to become a major global commercial and residential hub. It is strategically located to support both local and international business, benefiting from world-class infrastructure. The city’s development aligns with the UAE’s broader sustainable growth vision, with Al Maktoum International Airport set to become the world’s largest airport, further boosting Dubai’s status as a global transport and logistics hub.
