Gold Reaches All-Time High in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan have reached a new record high, reflecting an upward trend on Monday, October 21, 2024, in line with the increase in the international market.

In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs500, reaching Rs282,300, marking a new peak in Pakistan.

Additionally, 10-gram gold was sold for Rs242,027 after a rise of Rs429, according to rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On the global front, gold prices were set at $2,726 per ounce, after a $5 increase during the day.

Silver prices also saw a rise, gaining Rs50 to settle at Rs3,150 per tola.

Previously, on Friday, the price of gold had increased by Rs900, reaching a then-record high of Rs281,800.

Experts have linked the ongoing surge in gold prices to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
