Saudi Arabia introduces new opportunities for Pakistani travelers.

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia is emerging as a premier global travel destination in 2025, presenting exciting new opportunities for Pakistani travelers.

With over 2.7 million Pakistani visitors in 2024 and projections reaching 2.87 million in 2025, Saudi Arabia is enhancing its tourism sector beyond religious travel, according to a press release from the Saudi Tourism Authority.

The kingdom is introducing travel-friendly initiatives catering to diverse segments, including solo female travelers, destination weddings, and cultural tourism.

In 2024, Pakistani esports players showcased their dominance at the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, outshining 1,700 competitors and marking their presence on the global gaming stage. Additionally, Pakistani exhibitors recorded unprecedented participation at the LEAP Information Technology Expo, highlighting their growing influence in the tech sector.

Saudi Arabia’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector is also thriving, with 37 Pakistani tourism groups actively participating in major events. To boost tourism, the Saudi Click Campaign aims to highlight the country’s cultural richness, encouraging Pakistani buyers from the fashion and media industries to consider Saudi Arabia for business and creative collaborations.

For hassle-free travel, new initiatives include Group Inclusive Tours (GITs) for group travelers and exclusive last-minute Ramadan deals, offering visitors an immersive spiritual experience during the Holy Month.

The introduction of the e-visa for Umrah pilgrims has simplified religious travel, allowing unrestricted entry to any Saudi airport. Travelers can explore eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, enjoy a business-friendly environment, and perform Umrah without the need for a mahram, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to accessible tourism.

Looking ahead, Saudi Arabia is set to redefine luxury travel with the launch of The Saudi Red Sea’s exclusive resorts, including Six Senses Southern Dunes, JW Marriott, and 7th Reserve—the world’s seventh Ritz-Carlton Reserve—alongside the newly unveiled Shebara.

With a commitment to world-class hospitality and seamless accessibility, Saudi Arabia is rapidly becoming a preferred destination for Pakistani travelers. From rich heritage and adventure tourism to accommodations ranging from budget-friendly stays to luxury retreats, the kingdom promises an unforgettable experience for all.
