Sindh uncovers massive oil and gas reserves in record time

The Shah Bandar Block discovery was made at a depth of 2,475 meters in October, with production commencing in November. The well is projected to yield 12.4 million standard cubic feet of gas daily, along with approximately 1,090 barrels of crude oil per day.

The Pateji-X1 project is a collaborative venture with the following ownership breakdown:

  • Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL): 63%
  • Mari Petroleum Company Limited: 32%
  • Sindh and federal governments: 2.5% each

PPL, the primary operator, has officially announced this achievement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange through a formal notification.
