Aagha Ali speaks out about his Covid-era marriage and divorce from Hina Altaf

Actor Aagha Ali recently addressed his divorce from Hina Altaf, acknowledging that the couple may have rushed into marriage due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and discussed the factors contributing to failed marriages.

Speaking with host Nida Yasir on ARY Digital’s Good Morning Pakistan, Aagha Ali reflected on his decision to marry Hina Altaf, revealing that the pandemic played a significant role in their hurried decision.

“In my case, it was different because it happened during Covid, and at that time, everyone thought the world might end soon…,” Ali shared. “Even those who hadn’t considered marriage before decided to go ahead with it.”

He continued, “That was one of the key reasons we rushed into marriage.”

The Arranged Marriage actor further explained, “Like anyone else, I wanted to marry someone who truly understands me and shares my values. When that happened, it felt like the right step, as I believe no relationship is more sacred than marriage. But of course, destiny has its own plans.”

Ali also spoke about his expectations in a relationship, saying, “I am independent, so it didn’t matter to me if my wife knew how to cook or clean, but what mattered most was the effort she put into making the relationship work and making her partner feel loved. It’s essential to be there for each other and never take your partner for granted.”

He emphasized, “In my opinion, 99% of marriages fail because one person in the relationship begins to take the other for granted.”

The actor concluded by stating that he is not ready to enter a new relationship at this time.
