New Delhi:
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao kicked off the Laapataa Ladies Oscar 2025 campaign in New York, with a delightful food-filled start. The pair recently dined at The Bungalow, an Indian restaurant owned by chef Vikas Khanna. Pictures from the visit were shared on Instagram by New York-based restaurateur Jimmy Rizvi and The Bungalow’s official account. In one clip, Aamir is seen chatting with a young chef, Mysha, as Vikas mentions that she prepared the dishes with love. Another video shows Aamir enjoying some golgappas. Vikas also posted a photo of Aamir and Mysha, captioning it, “My two favorite people in the world.” Kiran Rao joined in, sharing a cheerful selfie with Vikas on her Instagram story.
In September, Laapataa Ladies, Kiran Rao’s comedy with a strong social message, was selected as India’s official Oscar entry for Best International Feature Film. On Tuesday, a new poster was released, now titled Lost Ladies to appeal to a broader audience. Nitanshi Goel, who plays Phool in the film, shared the poster on Instagram, captioning it, “Presenting the official poster for #LostLadies – a glimpse into the wild, heartfelt journey of Phool and Jaya!”
Directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan, Laapataa Ladies stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, and Chhaya Kadam, with a memorable cameo by Ravi Kishan. Released on March 1, the film received widespread praise from critics and audiences, building momentum through word of mouth.
