Arjun Kapoor reflects on the ‘worst phase of life’ before joining Singham Again

Arjun Kapoor recently opened up about experiencing the “worst phase” of his life when he signed on for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again.

In an interview with an Indian media outlet, Kapoor shared, “When I signed this film, I was going through the worst phase of my life. Personally, professionally, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I didn’t know if I was depressed, but I knew something wasn’t right. I was procrastinating a lot. I stopped enjoying watching films, and that’s all I could feel.”

Reflecting on his life before Singham Again, the actor admitted that he had become a very unhappy person.

However, Arjun Kapoor explained that he turned his physical appearance into a source of strength. “I do look like a menacing personality… I do carry myself in a certain way on-screen. So I am definitely open to it. I think it allows you to really have fun,” he said.

The actor also revealed that he has been battling an autoimmune disorder called Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. “I have something called Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. It’s related to thyroid issues, where your antibodies attack you. It’s almost like I can take a flight and gain weight because my body goes into stress,” Kapoor shared.

Kapoor added that dealing with the disorder is challenging, as it requires him to stay relaxed in order to look his best, which is difficult in an industry that rarely allows for relaxation.
