Renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has dismissed online rumors suggesting he’s opposed to performing in Saudi Arabia due to its proximity to religious sites.
In a recent statement, Aslam clarified that he has previously performed in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, calling it “the best way to express our stance on the matter.”
Earlier, some local media sources had reported that Aslam was reluctant to perform in Saudi Arabia, claiming he felt uneasy performing close to sacred sites.
Addressing these rumors, he remarked, “It’s both amusing and strange to see statements I’ve never made attributed to me.” He also urged media outlets to verify statements before associating them with anyone.
