Firdous Jamal Talks About the Difference Between Actors and Stars

Firdous Jamal explained that there is a clear distinction between actors and stars. While anyone can achieve star status, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are skilled actors. He mentioned that Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, in his view, are not true actors, as they primarily mimic characters rather than embody them. He believes their fame comes from their popularity, not from acting talent.

He also reflected on the legacy of Waheed Murad, saying that while Waheed Murad was a star, he was not just an actor. Firdous pointed out that Murad’s fame faded when his stardom came to an end.
