In a recent interview, actor Avinash Tiwary shared an embarrassing memory of his first on-set experience with Amitabh Bachchan while filming the 2014 thriller series Yudh.
Tiwary revealed that the scene involved an action sequence, which was a first for him. “The first time we met, we had to do an action sequence. At that point, I had never done one in my life. In the scene, he had to punch me, I had to duck, and then counterpunch. Unfortunately, I ended up hitting him on the head. The embarrassment I felt in that moment is something I still haven’t recovered from. There was pin-drop silence on set, and since no one said cut, I instinctively went in for another punch,” Tiwary recalled.
Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and Dipti Kalwani, Yudh features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Sarika, Zakir Hussain, Mona Wasu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Kay Kay Menon.
On the professional front, Tiwary is currently starring in the Netflix film Sikandar Ka Muqaddar alongside Tamannaah Bhatia and Jimmy Shergill.
The film centers around a high-stakes diamond theft worth crores. Officer Jaswinder Singh (Jimmy Shergill) suspects Kamini Singh (Tamannaah Bhatia), Sikandar Sharma (Avinash Tiwary), and Mangesh Desai (Rajiv Mehta). Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film premiered on Netflix on November 29.
