Is Mawra Hocane quitting acting to pursue a career in law?

Mawra Hocane, who holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London alongside her flourishing acting career, recently shared that she realized it was difficult to pursue both professions simultaneously. As a result, she has currently chosen to focus entirely on acting.

In a recent interview with a digital media outlet, she admitted, “Unfortunately, I couldn’t pursue my degree as planned. Five years ago, I was overly ambitious, thinking I could manage both careers at once. But I believe that to excel in any field, you must fully dedicate yourself to it.”

Hocane explained that if she ever decides to pursue a career in law, she would need to put in the same level of commitment she does for acting, which would require stepping away from acting for a while. With an impressive acting portfolio spanning several hit dramas and a Bollywood film, she noted, “If I want to become a lawyer, I would have to work just as hard as I do in my acting career, and for that, I would need to leave acting behind.”

The actress clarified that while she has completed her LLB degree, she is currently in the middle of her bar studies and plans to finish them when her acting commitments allow. “I need a nine-week period, from August to October, to go to London and complete my bar exams. I will go and do it whenever I find that time,” she shared.

Regarding her future projects, Hocane revealed, “I’m constantly reading scripts and working on them. I’ve discovered new ways to push myself harder, which excites me. Today, I feel more ready than ever to take on a new script. I really enjoy the process.”
