Once again, she has become the center of media attention after her mother’s recent interview with Geo TV, where she disclosed how Meera’s struggle with English led to a major issue.

Meera Ji’s English Mishap Leads to Trouble

During an interview with Murtaza Ali Shah for Geo TV, Meera’s mother, Shafqat Zehra Bukhari, revealed that the actress was deported from London by immigration authorities due to an English language mishap. She stated that Meera misquoted her name and mistakenly used the word “transaction” instead of “transit,” which resulted in her deportation and a ten-year entry ban in the UK— a restriction that has now ended.

Shafqat Zehra Bukhari further shared that they have now requested the British High Commission to grant Meera a visa. She explained that at the time of the incident, Meera struggled to communicate fluently, leading to misunderstandings with the immigration officers.
