Moammar Rana is a well-known name in the Pakistani film industry, having enjoyed a successful career with numerous Urdu and Punjabi films. He was set to make a major comeback with his film Baap, but the film’s premiere turned into a controversy that overshadowed his return. Upon his arrival, cameras captured footage that sparked widespread speculation.
At the premiere, Moammar Rana appeared unsteady, struggling to stand properly while slurring his speech. His co-stars and colleagues rushed to assist him, but his demeanor led many to assume he was intoxicated. The viral video has since subjected him to intense criticism.
In response to the controversy, Baap director Nadeem Cheema addressed the situation, revealing that Moammar Rana’s family—his wife Mehnaaz and daughters—have chosen to remain silent. He shared that they are deeply upset by the incident. According to Cheema, Moammar has isolated himself in his room and is not answering any calls. He reiterated that Moammar was unwell, not drunk, and mentioned having seen him in a similar condition on set due to health issues.
