“Mona Alam’s Private Video Leak? Pakistani Anchor Breaks Silence on Viral MMS Scandal”

In recent months, several MMS videos falsely attributed to Pakistani celebrities have gone viral online, with most being debunked as fake. The latest victim of this malicious trend is prominent Pakistani news anchor Mona Alam, known for hosting Question Hour with Mona Alam on Hum News. A private video allegedly involving her surfaced online, prompting Mona to address the matter on X (formerly Twitter).

Sharing a screenshot of the fabricated MMS clip, Mona wrote, “This woman’s objectionable video is being spread by petty haters on social media, claiming it’s me.” She clarified that the individual in the video is a known criminal and even shared an authentic image of the woman to disprove the claims.

Mona also posted a copy of the police complaint she filed against the circulation of the fake video. In her post, she firmly stated, “My character is spotless, and those running this smear campaign will face consequences!” The complaint, submitted to the Additional Director of the Federal Investigation Agency Cyber Crime in Islamabad, included links to posts falsely connecting her to the explicit video. Mona further revealed that the fake video was circulated to senior journalists via WhatsApp, amplifying the false narrative.

This incident highlights a troubling trend of character assassination targeting Pakistani celebrities. Public figures like Maryam Faisal, Kanwal Aftab, Minahil Malik, Mathira Mohammad, and Imsha Rehman have also faced similar baseless allegations, many of which they have publicly denied.
