Noor ul Hassan is a veteran Pakistani actor and host who began his career in the popular sitcom Kollege Jeans. He has also appeared in notable TV shows like Fun Gama and Wrong Numbers. His impressive repertoire of Pakistani dramas includes hits such as Ab Ke Sawan Barse Ga, Ishq Jalebi, Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila, Aangan, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, Cheekh, Lashkara, Dumpukht, Sammi, Alif Allah Aur Insan, among others. His recent performances in Khaie and Ishq Murshid have earned widespread praise, and he also garnered significant acclaim for his role as Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani in the Turkish series Salahuddin Ayubi.
In a recent appearance on Suno To Sahi, hosted by Hina Niazi, Noor ul Hassan discussed how he landed the role in Salahuddin Ayubi. Reflecting on his portrayal of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani, he revealed:
“I received a call from Adnan Siddiqui on the first day of Ramadan ul Mubarak. Knowing he was in the USA, I was surprised when he offered me the role of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani. He detailed the character, emphasizing that the director was looking for someone like me. I was so taken aback that I could hardly process the offer. Humayun Saeed also became involved, and I found it all quite overwhelming. Initially, I had to decline because I couldn’t leave my Ramadan transmission, which meant I couldn’t go to Turkey. However, the Turkish producers insisted—they chose me over three other candidates and even waited for me. I was originally scheduled to join in episode 15, but they held off until I completed my Ramadan commitments, and I finally made my debut in episode 25.”
